DIRECTOR OF THE OLE MISS WESLEY FOUNDATION
MINISTRY SUMMARY:
The Ole Miss Wesley Foundation at the University of Mississippi is seeking to hire a Director to create a welcoming and supportive environment for students to explore and grow in their faith, while also encouraging them to engage with the wider community to put their faith into action.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- Actively listen to God and grow in their own faith.
- Have a compassionate heart and be respected for their integrity.
- Have a passion for evangelizing to college students.
- Effective relationship-building skills and a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Understand and appreciate The United Methodist Church and demonstrate commitment to the Wesleyan connectional way of life.
- Perceive leadership to be with people, help them develop as God鈥檚 children and assist them in fulfilling their vocations.
EDUCATION:
- A bachelor鈥檚 degree is required.
- A seminary graduate degree is required.
- Student participation in a campus ministry is desired.
- Post-college leadership experience in a student ministry is required. (Experience with a Wesley Foundation is desired, but not required.)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leading worship and prayer activities.
- Organizing and facilitating small groups and Bible studies.
- Planning and implementing outreach events.
- Discipling student leaders and providing spiritual guidance and resources for discernment.
- Working with the Board of Directors and other staff to plan and implement our vision for campus ministry.
- Intentionally seeking new donors who share a desire to expand our ministry.
- Facilitate and oversee the general maintenance of the Wesley Foundation funds and property.
COMPENSATION:
The annual compensation for the position will range from $60,000 to $70,000 based on applicant鈥檚 experience and negotiated benefits. A parsonage is available.

DIRECTOR OF STUDENT MINISTRY AT MARVIN METHODIST CHURCH (TX)
About the Church
A rapidly growing Global Methodist congregation in Tyler, Texas, this historical downtown church is biblically based with a strong emphasis on missions and outreach. The church is known for being very relational and friendly.
About the Ministry
The student ministry of Marvin Methodist serves sixth through twelfth-grade students and their families. The church is deeply invested in the success of this ministry, providing a 10,200 square foot, newly renovated facility with room for worship, small groups, and a diner-like space for students to hang out, enjoy a meal, and play video games with friends. The ministry is primed and ready for its next director to creatively take the ministry to the next level.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, forward-focused person who has the ability to engage students and families, building upon the existing structure and excitement for the next phase of growth in the student ministry.
Key Responsibilities聽聽
- Spiritual Leadership:聽Provide biblical teaching, mentorship, and spiritual guidance, helping students grow in their faith and relationship with Christ.
- Student Ministry Programming:聽Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate programs, activities, trips, and events that foster a sense of community and discipleship.
- Mission Focused:聽Work with the missions team to infuse a global missions perspective into the student ministry, encouraging students to engage in evangelism efforts to reach their peers with the Gospel and to participate in local mission projects and trips.
- Volunteer Engagement:聽Engage and equip volunteers to assist in various aspects of student ministry, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all activities.
- Collaboration:聽Work collaboratively with pastors, church staff, and ministry teams to integrate the student ministry into the overall church vision and mission.

- Strong commitment to Christian faith and Wesleyan theology
- Proven experience in student ministry leadership
- Five years of paid ministry experience
- Bachelor鈥檚 degree (preferred) in theology, ministry, or a related field
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities with a demonstrated history of sound judgment
